Millmerran offers the visitor great photo opportunities with a series of bold historical murals with each of these larger-than-life murals telling a tale of the past. Millmerran is also home to two big events - the Australian Camp Oven Festival (every even numbered year) and the National Open Rendezvous (every odd numbered year).
Cecil Plains is a township on the banks of the Condamine River and is home to Queensland Cotton's Cecil Plains Gin, a modern six stand plant, about five kilometres west of the township. The Gin operates from April to August, ginning up to 1500 bales per day.
